Recipe Management Systems

Just curious...has anyone heard of this? (I coined the name)...so, it may not be the "right" thing.
I am frustrated somewhat when I start searching for a recipe in my recipe box. It seems like I spend too much time locating exactly what I am looking for. So, I had a lightbulb idea flash into my head, (surprise, surprise!) why not reinvent how/why/location, etc. for my recipes.

Now I am exploring the best fit for me. I thought about 1/2 inch binders (color coded, of course) that contain just one recipe areas, i.e., bread, desserts, appetizers, and then just grabbing them off the bookshelf & opening it up might save time and allow for more time to do one of the things I enjoy...cook!

I am definitely open to ideas.
